A rocket developed by a Japanese startup company burst into flames on Saturday, just a few seconds after liftoff in northern Japan.

The MOMO-2 rocket, developed by Interstellar Technologies, was launched on Saturday in Taiki town on Hokkaido island, in northern Japan. The company says it believes the rocket suffered a glitch in its main engine,  which caused the engine to shut down just a few seconds after liftoff. The explosion caused no injuries.
