Iran Press/ Europe: On Wednesday evening, hundreds of residents in Roma Termini, main railway station of Rome, marched in protest at social problems and the rising crime rate in the city.
In reaction to social problems, demonstrators shouted that they could no longer tolerate robbery, pickpocketing and sale of drugs and alcohol in the central streets of Rome.
"Rise of crime, lack of security, and contamination of neighborhoods in Rome have become turned to be our main concerns," an Italian protester told an IranPress reporter in Rome.
Another demonstrator shared with an IranPress reporter that they were tired of the insecurity and contamination of their neighborhood.
Protesting against social problems, demonstrators carrying placards as ' living in fear and insecurity is enough' and 'Where are you politicians' protested against drug selling and social problems, looking for effective measures.
Pickpocketing and extorting money from tourists on the streets of Rome have become prevalent.
