Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at a ceremony on Thursday night at Tehran's Khaneh Honarmandan (Artists' House), Giuseppe Perrone said: "Selected movies, for the Italian Cinema Week, reflect these days' realities in Italian society."
The Italian ambassador voiced hope that the audience would see a combination of Italian filmmakers' innovation and historic cinema tradition this week.
Italian Cinema Week will be held in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Tehran and the “Art and Experience” cinematic group at the Artists' House, the Shiraz Multi-theater Cinema and Kish Island's Labkhand Cinema.
After the opening ceremony of the Italian Cinema Week, 'Equilibrium' directed by Vincenzo Mara was screened, followed by a discussion of Iranian and Italian art cinema with the participation of Mara and Iranian actor Babak Karimi.
During the Italian Cinema Week, 6 award-winning Italian movies in recent years, will be screened alongside a classic cinematic documentary directed by Bernardo Bertolucci.
