In the early hours of Wednesday, the city of Jenin and its refugee camp in the West Bank were shaken by a violent raid by Israeli forces, resulting in the tragic deaths of two Palestinian children. The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the victims as Adam Samer al-Ghoul, 8, and Basil Suleiman Abu al-Wafa, 15.

Iran PressWest Asia: A chilling video circulated on social media, capturing the moment one of the children was shot in broad daylight. The footage shows a young boy dragging the lifeless body away from the scene.

The Israeli forces launched an aggressive operation against the Jenin refugee camp, arresting Palestinians and forcing many to evacuate their homes at gunpoint. The city of Jenin and its camp were declared a closed military zone.

The raid also saw Israeli bulldozers inflicting significant damage on homes and streets in the Damj neighborhood of the city.

This incident is part of a surge in violence across the occupied West Bank since October 7, when the Israeli regime initiated a devastating war on the Gaza Strip following a surprise attack by the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.

The city of Jenin, a major source of resistance, has been the site of some of Israel's deadliest raids in the West Bank over the past few months. The city and its refugee camp have been invaded repeatedly, especially since the start of the Gaza war.

The tragic loss of these young lives and the escalating violence in the region underscore the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The international community must intensify its efforts to bring about a just and lasting peace that respects the rights and aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians.
