In a video statement at the Ben Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv ahead of his departure, Bennett said that he will meet the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday.

In a statement, Palestine Liberation Organization’s Wasel Abu Youssef told Reuters that Bennett’s visit to the UAE "violates the Arab consensus that is supposed to support the Palestinian cause amid the challenges imposed by the Israeli occupation.”
The visit also comes amid Israel's desperate efforts to halt the nuclear talks between the 4+1 group and Iran in Vienna, Xinhua news agency reported.
In late June, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid flew to the UAE, in the first visit by a senior Israeli official, to open the first Israeli embassy in the Arab state.
