Palestine (IP) - An Israeli court opposed the release of a Palestinian prisoner suffering from cancer.

Iran PressMiddle East:  The Palestinian sources announced that the Israeli regime's court opposed the release of Walid Daqqa prior to the end of his imprisonment sentence due to his suffering from cancer.

A group of the families of the Palestinian prisoners held a gathering in the Gaza Strip, calling for pressure on the Israeli regime to free the detainees.

Currently, there are over 4,800 Palestinians prisoned in the regime's jails, including 41 women and 140 children.

In recent years, nearly 240 Palestinian prisoners were murdered in Israeli prisons due to constant torture.

In the past decades, the Israeli authorities have intentionally evaded addressing the medical care of Palestinian patient prisoners and opposed their release, which has led to their gradual death.
