Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at a joint press conference with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iranian Foreign Minister, Simon Conovey referred to Ireland’s role as a facilitator in the 2231 resolution in the UN and said that he understood the economic pressure on Iran.
"Western parties are committed and serious in negotiations", he pointed out, adding: "Now, in Vienna talks, it is the time to make a decision. Opportunities exist to reach an agreement in Vienna."
Ireland FM has stated that he understands that Iran’s administration is at odd with the US previous administration’s decisions.
Ireland’s foreign minister also referred to reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and said that it could benefit Iranians and would pave the way for more cooperation in the region.
"Ireland is ready to help all parties to reach an agreement by increasing dialogues," he added.
Ireland FM elsewhere highlighted that Ireland’s embassy would be opened in Tehran as soon as possible.
Coveney underlined: "We had negotiations with Amir-Abdollahian about Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, and Lebanon as well."
