Iran Press/Iran news: Major General Hossein Salami made a statement on Sunday to commemorate the National Day of the Fight Against Global Arrogance, also known as National Student Day. This day marks the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy by Iranian university students in Tehran.
Hossein Salami, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, on Sunday during the 13 Aban commemoration ceremony, stated that this day is "a day of great political epic for the Iranian people."
Major General Salami added: "Today is a day of great victory for the Iranian nation, overcoming the greatest empire in human history, namely the United States."
"November 4, 1979 At a time when the United States was at the height of its political, military, and economic power, and the Iranian people had not yet built the great structures of their present power at the beginning of a glorious revolution, a great revolution took place in the heart of that Islamic revolution ", he continued.
Salami extolled the historic day as an “indelible watershed” in exposing the true nature of the United States and its mischief against the freedom-loving and rights-seeking nations of the world.
Salami said the Israeli atrocities, perpetrated under the command and all-round support of the administration in Washington, against the strategic region of West Asia, not least the innocent people in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, are regarded as the “biggest and most valid reason and justification for the loss of American human rights.”
Salami in his address added, “We warn the enemy number 1 of the Iranian nation and the rabid dog of that terrorist and criminal regime that the Islamic resistance in the region, by the grace of God and with the help of the courage of the combatants and the faithful warriors who maintain the upper hand in the current military field, will give a tooth-breaking response to the wickedness front."
Salami added: "On this path, the resistance front and Islamic Iran will equip themselves with all necessary resources to confront and ultimately overcome the enemy, without fear of the threats and saber-rattling from the rulers of Washington and Tel Aviv."
The resistance front will give a crushing response to the US, the Israeli regime and its allies
The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has warned the United States and Israel that they will face a “tooth-breaking response” from regional resistance groups for any acts of aggression and mischief.
Forty-two years ago on this day (November 4, 1979), Iranian students captured the US Espionage Den in Tehran in protest of numerous US plots against the Islamic Revolution.
Every year, in honor of this day, the people of Islamic Iran demonstrate their national unity and Islamic solidarity in a nationwide and passionate march and shout the message of the Islamic Revolution, "Independence, Freedom, Islamic Republic" and anti-arrogance slogans.
