Commenting on the visit Rabiee said: "Normally, politicians from friendly nations that visit Tehran, want to do everything they can to reduce regional tensions. But as far as the subject of meditation is concerned, we don't accept any country or individual acting as a mediator between Tehran and Washington. It is natural that politicians visiting Tehran will express their concerns to Iranian officials, and their concerns about regional tensions as well, and certainly they would want to hear our point of view as well. That is also important for them."
