Iran Press/ Middle East: In a video message that aired on the social media between midnight Sunday and Monday morning, the Karbala Operation commander announced outside the Iranian consulate in Karbala: "There is no security problem in the province, and the situation (including the security and safety of the consulate building) is under control."
On Sunday night, the local media outlet reported that some rioters had attacked the consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Iraqi city of Karbala.
According to news sources, the attackers set fire to the outer wall of the consulate.
Meanwhile, Iraqi security forces in Karbala have cracked down on insurgents, the Iraqi news channel Saberin reported.
