Iran Press/ Middle East: Issuing a statement, the office of the Iraqi Grand Shia Marja Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Sistani strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a Sayyid al-Shuhada school in Kabul and extended condolences to the Afghan nations and victims’ families.
“Although for years Afghanistan's oppressed civilians have occasionally been brutally attacked by extremist and ruthless groups, this crime is rare in its type and in some ways more painful,” the statement said.
Pointing to the current hard situation of Afghanistan and the possibility of the revival of the extremist groups in the country and called for the national unity and solidarity of all tribes in the country as well as the Afghan government and religious leaders to support the civilians against terrorists.
The Grand Shia Marja stressed the Muslim countries’ support for the oppressed nation of Afghanistan.
A bomb blast outside the Sayyid al-Shuhada school in western Kabul on Saturday killed and injured dozens of people, most of the students.
