Iran Press/Middle East: Delivering a speech on the meeting which was held to investigate the latest developments in Iraq Aboudi said that after weakening Iraq’s army the US imposed economic sanctions and put the Iraqi people under pressure and kept them starving to occupy their land.
He also described two periods for the history of Iraq saying that one was Saddam’s ruling till 2003, and the other one was occupying Iraq.
The US had a complete plan before occupying Iraq and went through that carefully", he highlighted.
Referring to the victories of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Unit (Hashd al-Sha'abi), he said the domineering system tried to eliminate them and fomented tension in the country while their commanders controlled the situation.
Speaking as another main keynote speaker, an expert in West Asian affairs, Sadollah Zarei also said that the future of Iraq is bright and they had been able to create a system based on people's will, and today they have a stable country.
Although there are ethnic differences the Iraqis are moving forward to the future," he highlighted.
"Iraq has been encountering crisis for 17-18 years, but our relationship with them will be stronger than before", concluded he.
