Iran Press/ Middle East: In 2017, after three years of fighting, Iraq declared victory over the terrorist outfit 'ISIS', but the scattered elements and cores of this terrorist group are still active in some areas of the provinces of Diyala, Kirkuk, Nineveh, Salahuddin, Anbar, and Baghdad.
According to the Iran Press news agency, citing the Iraqi media, the fighters of the air force of this country destroyed the gathering place of the terrorist group ISIS in the "Wadi al-Shai" region of Kirkuk province (northern Iraq).
More details of this operation have not been reported.
Iraqi security forces continue to search, clear, and pursue ISIS remnants throughout the country to ensure that ISIS and its fugitive elements do not re-emerge.
