Iran Press/ Middle East: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh and his Iraqi counterpart, Ahmed al-Sahaf, attended an Iraqi television program and answered questions about bilateral relations and regional issues.
Khatibzadeh about Iraq's debts to Iran said: "We respect the decisions of the Iraqi government and parliament regarding the timetable for the withdrawal of US troops from the country".
He also noted that the ISIS terrorist group was defeated by the fatwa of the religious authority and Iraqi people's solidarity.
Al-Sahaf also stated that during Khatibzadeh's visit to Baghdad, bilateral relations and common issues between the two countries had been discussed.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh traveled to Baghdad to meet with Iraqi officials, stated in a Twitter message on Thursday that Iran supports a stable, unified, and strong Iraq.
On Thursday he met Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.
