Tehran (IP)- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Iraq, as an important country in the region, can play a special role in the Arab world's pressure against the US, and Israeli regime and create a new line in the Arab world and the Islamic world.

Iran PressIran News: Iraqi Prime Minister arrived in Tehran this morning to talk with Iranian officials about bilateral relations, and developments in the region, including the war in Gaza.

The Leader made the remarks in a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani in Tehran on Monday. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was also present at the meeting.

Referring to the pitiful situation in Gaza and the wounding of the hearts of all free people in the face of these crimes and atrocities, the Leader added: "From the very first days of the Israeli regime's attacks, all evidence shows the direct involvement of the Americans in the administration of the war, and whatever happens from this war, the reasons for the role America's actions in directing the crimes of the Israeli regime are becoming stronger and bolder."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added: "If there is no military and political aid from the US, the Israeli regime will not be able to continue its atrocities. The Americans are rightly and justly accomplices of the Zionists in the crimes of Gaza."

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized: "Despite all the killings that are being carried out in Gaza, the Israeli regime has so far been a real loser in this matter because it has not been able to restore its lost reputation and will not be able to do so in the future."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized the need for an all-out effort to increase political pressure on the US and the Israeli regime to stop the bombings in Gaza and said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq can play a role and influence in this regard by coordinating with each other."

Ayatollah Khamenei also said about the bilateral cooperation between Iran and Iraq in the economic and security fields: "Thank God, things are progressing, but we must be careful to continue the pursuit of agreements with the same initial motivation and not slow down."

In the end, the Leader sincerely thanked the people and government of Iraq and the Prime Minister for his part in their hospitality service and security during Arbaeen.
