Iran Press/ Iran news: Ali Landi, while playing in his aunt's neighborhood, suddenly heard an explosion from a resident's house. While cooking, an elderly woman and a middle-aged woman were caught in a raging fire and shouted for help.
After saving the lives of the two women on September 9, the brave Iranian teenager was hospitalized in Ahvaz, the provincial capital of Khuzestan, with 90% burns.
Following the severe condition, he was transferred to the neighboring province of Isfahan for advanced treatment, but he finally lost his life on Friday midnight.
While he was battling for his life, the whole nation came together for Landi, with his story trending on social media for the past few weeks.
Iranians reacted to his death by drawing an illustration of Landi carrying an elderly woman on his back amid raging flames and describing his sacrifice and death with titles and words like "all superheroes don't wear capes."
According to the official site of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the bereaved family of Ali Landi received a phone call from the office of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and the condolences of Ayatollah Khamenei were conveyed, and sympathy was expressed with this bereaved family.
Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, alongside other Iranian officials, expressed their condolences on the death of Ali Landi.
Iranian President wrote in his message: "The tragic death of my dear son Ali Landi, a zealous teenager, was sad and heartbreaking. The name of this dear teenager, who bravely and passionately set fire to his heart to save the lives of two people, will be registered among the national heroes of this homeland.
