Tehran (IP) - The people of Iran took part in the funeral ceremony of their martyred soldier Johnny Bet Oshana, an Assyrian who was martyred in the 8-year imposed war of the Iraqi Ba'athist regime on Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Johnny, a soldier of the 55th Airborne Brigade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, is one of the martyrs of religious minorities in Iran, was buried today after Friday prayers in Tehran with the enthusiastic participation of the people in his funeral ceremony.

The Assyrian youth got martyred on March 14, 1984, during Operation Badr in the east of the Tigris River.

His body left in the war zone was identified out of DNA test after 39 years. 

When a president of Iran, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei attended the martyr's home and visited his family.
