Iran Press/ Asia: On Monday, Zahra Bonyani, in less than 55kg class, competed at the Asian Championships in Kazakhstan, defeating Kazakhstan's athlete 7-2 in the first round to advance to the semifinals.
In the semi-finals, the Iranian athlete went against 'Tai Huang' from Hong Kong and lost 8:0 and failed to reach the final.
Bonyani competed in the ranking match against an athlete from the UAE and with a score of 10 to 5 won a bronze medal.
The 2021 Asian Karate Championship is being held in the capital of Kazakhstan with the participation of athletes from 29 countries.
