Iran Press/ Iran News: The Iranian senior academic and president of Sahid Beheshti University Professor Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari in an exclusive interview with Iran Press went on to say that although there has been a lot of advances in science and Technology such growth and improvement is not seen in ethics, moralities as well as humanities.
Nasiri Gheydari further explained that the existence of the Innovation center for social sciences, and humanities would be necessary when it comes to the disciplinary courses as well as the knowledge-based companies and startups. He warned that science and technology per se cannot be the source of comfort, peace, health and tranquility for mankind without humanities to address other sides of human needs.
"The science which is based on righteous deeds, rationality, philanthropy in practice, greatly is needed, this is achieved through Integrating other disciplines with the humanities". Professor Nasiri highlighted.
He concluded that the process of integration of different disciplines would end up with the applications which are necessary to meet Iran's social needs.
Nasiri Gheydari's remarks came on the sidelines of unveiling ceremony for the Innovation center for social, humanities held in Tehran.
The center is to facilitate social services by mainly focusing on family, children, adolescents to address the country's training and education needs.
Innovation center for social and humanities was planned and launched by young universities' lecturers during 33 days, consisting of 11 startups, 23 judging panels and attended by many lecturers and universities' presidents at Shahid Beheshti University on Saturday morning 15 February in Tehran.
The aim behind establishing this center is to facilitate social services by mainly focusing on Family, children, adolescents to address most of the country's training and education needs.
