Iran Press/ Iran News: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said: "Now we all see that Europe intends to confront the IRGC as the strongest anti-terrorism force in the region and the world and the most important guardian of the security of the Iranian nation. These are not cases that we easily ignore and we will use the best of our ability for any countermeasures and deterrents."
Further, he said: "Once again, the parliament will respond immediately and decisively to any action that means placing the IRGC on the terrorist and sanctions list. We will identify the armies of the European countries in the region as terrorist groups and organizations and take the necessary measures to deal with them. We are ready to answer, but we ask the Westerners to think carefully so that the window of opportunity for diplomacy is not closed.

Ghalibaf added: "On the one hand, they cannot claim that the negotiation window is open, and on the other hand, confront a part of Iran's political and identity structure, and the people of Iran know that such a negotiation is the end of nothing but the looting of economic and political interests and the weakening of our national honor. They will never succumb in such a process, the result of which is a defeat in advance."
"If Europe needs an agreement, should separate its way from the opponents of the agreement." he added.
The speaker of the parliament also noted: "I really hope that Europe can free itself from the indoctrination of child-killing Zionist regime and adopt a wiser policy, otherwise, Europe will be the weakest side among the western countries that confront the IRGC and the resistance in the region and will, of course, pay for it in full."
The European Parliament on Wednesday adopted an amendment that was added to an annual foreign policy report, calling on the EU and its member states to include the IRGC on their terror list. The parliament also passed another resolution on Thursday, calling for more sanctions against Iranian individuals and entities and putting the IRGC on the EU terrorist list over alleged human rights violations during the recent riots.
The move by the European Parliament has been strongly condemned by Iranian officials, commanders, and the Armed Forces.
