Saudi Arabia (IP) - Iranian athletes snatched 4 golds and one bronze in the Grand Prix para-taekwondo competitions underway in Riyadh of Saudi Arabia.

Iran PressMiddle East: Saeed Sadegianpour, Alireza Bakht, Hamed Haghshenas, and Maryam Abdollahpour managed to win gold medals in the competitions and Roza Ebrahimi sufficed for bronze.

The finals of the Riyadh 2022 World Para Taekwondo Grand Prix competitions are underway with the participation of 77 taekwondo players, including 40 men and 37 women, from 26 countries. 

The World Taekwondo Grand Prix is a taekwondo competition introduced by the World Taekwondo Federation in 2013 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification for the Olympic taekwondo tournament.

It consists of four competitions per year in each Olympic weight category event. Olympic events occur at approximately half the weight classes as WTF-organized tournaments.
