Tehran (IP) - All Iranian political parties voice support and defend the legitimacy of the Palestinian Resistance's actions in defending the nation against Israeli aggressions.

Iran PressIran news: Palestinian Resistance fighters in Gaza launched 'Operation Al-Aqsa Flood' against the positions of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories on Saturday morning which shocked the regime because such an inclusive and unprecedented operation is occurring for the first time from the start of the occupation.

Former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami said that some world powers accused Palestine of terrorism while according to the UN, the practice of resistance against aggression and oppression is not terrorism.

Khatami said: "The West awkwardly is supporting Israel and expresses sympathy only with the Israelis killed but tells no word about the massacre and crimes happening in Gaza. I will not get happy about the killing of even one innocent people but it is necessary to see who is the main aggressor and where is the origin of aggression."

He recalled it is for more than half of a century that an entity has occupied a country, dominated it, slaughtered its people, displaced others, and humiliated those states that did not take an appropriate position on what is going on in Palestine.

Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini chief of Imam's holy shrine and the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works, the grandson of Imam Khomeini, said Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was a great job and it was the first that the Palestinian defensive position turned into an offensive approach after suffering long years of Israeli oppression.

He highlighted the role of the media, especially social networks, in disseminating the news across societies and stated: "Once, the world media empire seemed to be in the hands of a few special news agencies that used to distort the news in different ways such that that the place of servant and traitor could easily be interchanged."

He said that perhaps those who are the subject of the news, the Palestinians, could not be deceived by the distorted information and truth, but it could be distorted for the audiences who are out of the occupied territories.

Mohammad-Javad Zarif, the former Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, described in his X account, the Israeli regime's actions against the Palestinian people as "Nazi-like":

"Israeli Nazi-like statements and actions won't restore the criminal regime's shattered sense of invincibility. But they will provide solid grounds for indictment for war crimes."

Zarif's comments came as the Israeli War Minister described the people of Gaza as beasts and ordered the full blockade of the Palestinian city.

According to the statistics of the Gaza Ministry of Health, 1055 people have been martyred in the Gaza Strip after the recent aggression of the Israeli regime, and 140 of these martyrs are children.

Also, the number of Israelis killed since the beginning of the Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has mounted to reach more than 1,200, according to the latest estimates.

The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Tuesday that Tel Aviv officials believe that over 200 people were taken captive by the Palestinian Resistance forces.
