(IP) - Abbas Araghchi, secretary of Iran's Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, offered a unique perspective on the source of the Islamic Republic's power, attributing it in part to a "semantic and discourse-making power."

Iran PressIran news: He emphasized that this influence, alongside traditional "hard power" capabilities, contributes to Iran's standing on the global stage.

Speaking at a meeting, Araghchi elaborated on his concept of "semantic power," suggesting it has granted Iran significant international influence. He attributed this to effective communication of Iran's message and framing of key issues on the world stage.

Furthermore, Araghchi highlighted the importance of "revolutionary diplomacy" in shaping Iran's foreign policy. He credited the teachings and example of the late General Qassem Soleimani, alongside Iran's Constitution and the "second step of the revolution," as key pillars of this approach.

He put an emphasis on General Soleimani's legacy by the  Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who urged viewing martyr Soleimani not just as an individual but as a "school and a path."

According to Araghchi, this "school of Hajj Qassem" is characterized by unwavering resistance, a principle evident in Iran's diplomatic strategy.

Araghchi pointed to the development of "resistance diplomacy" as a key element of Iran's foreign policy, citing its undeniable role in shaping events in Syria.

He further noted that this approach continues to be actively pursued by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
