Tehran (IP) – The building of the Iranian National Cinematheque as a precious treasure of cinema was opened on July 25th in the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad-Mahdi Esmaili, and a group of artists.

Iran PressIran News: In the ceremony, Mohammad-Mahdi Esmaili said: "We tried to upgrade the infrastructure. For example, when we started work, there were three cinemas in Zahedan, now there are nine cinemas, at the beginning of this government there were about 500 cinemas, and now there are 900 cinemas, and by the end of the 4 years, 1000 cinemas were supposed to be built."

"The cinema document is ready in the Art Council, and with the announcement of the new rule, no artist will go to any institution other than his own guild to answer," he said.

The Iranian Minister added: "This was demanded by people active in the cinema industry for 40 years, is it just that the cinema field works for the national interests of that country in the whole world? Which country's cinema is acting against the national interests? We made this clear and avoided behind-the-scenes talk in the country so that these things provide an atmosphere of job and work security."

"After 45 years, the music document in the country was announced by the late Martyr President Raisi and the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution approved it in the presence of the heads of the three branches of power and with this document the problems in the cities were resolved."

In the end, he pointed out: "Tomorrow we will open the most beautiful cultural and artistic institution in Yazd; a hall much more advanced than of other countries with a very spectacular scene."

The CEO of the Iranian National Cinematheque, Ladan Taheri, gave a speech and said: "We, the people in the cinema industry, today are proud that an independent building has been considered for the Iranian National Cinematheque."

She said: "I think the Iranian National Cinematheque building is a symbol of hope, patience and resistance."
