Iran Press/Iran news: On the sidelines of the open session of the parliament on Sunday, Abolfazl Amouei in an exclusive interview with Iran Press elaborated on the significance of the International Atomic Energy Agency's new report on Iran's nuclear activities, stressing: "The new report addresses the increase in Iran's enriched uranium reserves and the amount of heavy water which has been increased."
The reason behind increasing enriched-uranium reserves is that Iran, in the first step of reducing its obligations to the JCPOA, announced that it was waiving the JCPOA's restrictions due to the other signatories' lack of adherence to their commitments, spokesman for National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament added.
Amouei noted that the IAEA's action should not be based on espionage intelligence information, and in recent years, nearly 93% of all IAEA inspections in the world have been related to Iran.
Iran expects the IAEA to act professionally and independently, not to take into account the political considerations and pressures of the enemies of the Islamic Republic in its reports, but to focus on its professional role and activities, he outlined.
The open session of the parliament on Sunday morning September 6 was held chaired by Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
