Baghdad (IP) - Iran's Minister of Energy left Tehran for Baghdad to take part in the third international water conference to be held in the Iraqi capital city.

Iran PressIran News: Upon his arrival in Baghdad on Friday, Aliakbar Mehrabian told reporters that the international event is a good opportunity for Iran to have an active participation in the regional environment of water diplomacy. 

The International Water Conference will be held in Baghdad for two days from May 6 to 8.

In addition to Iran and Iraq's participation in the event, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey will take part in the conference.

Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi just returned on Friday from Syria. The Comprehensive Program of Strategic and Long-Term Cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Syrian Arab Republic and 14 other cooperation documents were signed by the Presidents and high officials of the two countries.
