(IP) - Iran's -73 kg judo player won the gold medal at the IBSA World Games 2023 hosted by Birmingham, England.

Iran PressIran News: The 2023 World Games is the most extensive high-level international event for athletes with visual impairment, with over 1250 competitors from 70 nations. 

Vahid Jeddi, an Iranian Judo player, defeated his opponents from Japan, Portugal, Georgia, and Kazakhstan, respectively, and reached the final game.

In the final game, Jeddi won against his opponent from Uzbekistan.

The IBSA World Games 2023 is being held at the University of Birmingham, England, from 14-27 August. 

Iranian athletes have participated in the IBSA 2023 in various fields, including goalball, five-a-side football, judo, and powerlifting.
