Kabul (IP) - Iran's presidential envoy for Afghanistan who simultaneously serves as Tehran's Ambassador to Kabul said that the policy of the country's current government is based on dialogue and interaction.

Iran press/ Asia: Hassan Kazemi-Qomi, the ambassador of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Afghanistan, stated that the region is on the threshold of tremendous changes and wrote in a tweet: "The policy of dialogue and interaction of the Islamic Republic of Iran has an important status and prestige."

Previously, Iran's ambassador to Afghanistan said that bilateral interactions and communications are realized by securing the interests of the parties; removing investment and commercial obstacles and problems aimed at developing Iran-Afghanistan economic relations is one of the priorities of the 13th government of Iran.

Kazemi-Qomi stated that organizing Iran's exports to Afghanistan, facilitating the process of issuing commercial transit visas, activating the Khaf-Herat railway line, forming a committee to facilitate and remove obstacles to production and investment, supporting investors from the two countries in a bid to boost Iran-Afghanistan trade, and forming a mining consortium were some of the measures taken in the field of economy, production and trade.

The Special Representative of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Afghanistan Affairs previously discussed the development of cooperation with the United Nations and regional cooperation and the need for the United Nations to support regional initiatives in the Afghanistan issue in a meeting with, Feridun Hadi Sinirlioğlu, the UN Secretary General's envoy to Afghanistan.

The good relations between the people of Iran and Afghanistan, the movement of Afghan citizens to Iran and the presence of more than fourteen Afghan immigrants in Iran have caused Afghans to consider the Islamic Republic of Iran as their second homeland.
