Tehran (IP) - Recalling the nonstop Israeli massacre of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, Iran's Foreign Minister called for an emergency meeting of the FMs of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (IOC) member states.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a telephone conversation on Thursday with the IOC's Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha, emphasized more reaction of the international bodies, especially the IOC, to stop the Israeli regime's attack on the defenseless people of Palestine.

Amir-Abdollahian referred to the fact that 4.5 months have passed from the previous meeting of the IOC members and urged an emergency meeting of the council of the IOC ministers to review the status quo and take decisive measures against the Israeli regime's aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Hussein Ibrahim Taha, for his part, expressed concern about the continued attacks of the Zionist regime against the Gaza Strip and welcomed Iran's proposal to hold the emergency meeting.

Amir-Abdollahian also talked with his Algerian counterpart Ahmad Ataf in a phone call about what is going on in Gaza.

The two FMs strongly condemned the continual attacks of the Israeli regime on the people of Palestine and the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and called on the international community to stop the Israeli massacre of Palestinians in Rafah to force them to relocate to Egypt's Sina desert.

It was on October 7 that the Palestinian Resistance carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on the Israeli regime's forces in response to the regime's daily crimes against the Palestinian people during 75 years of occupation of Palestine since 1948.

Since October 7, the Israeli regime got into a frenzy and began to pound the Gaza Strip with bombs; so far over 28,500 people have been martyred a large part of whom are non-civilians including women and children. 219
