Iran Press/ West Asia: last night casualties raised the death toll to at least 28,176 and at least 67,784 Palestinians have been wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza.
Palestinian Wafa news agency reported Al-Rahma mosque in Al-Shaboura and Al-Huda mosque in the Yabna camp where dozens of people were sheltering were targetted by Israeli missiles in Rafah.
Central Gaza is near the headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent and areas close to the border with Egypt were the main target of Israel airstrikes.
Also, areas around the Kuwait Hospital were the target of heavy Israeli shelling. The Director of Kuwait Hospital in Rafah, Suhaib Al-Hams, has said that the hospital is full of wounded people in a dangerous situation.
Hundreds of people also reportedly sought shelter at the hospital due to intense Israeli shelling nearby.
The Israeli military has confirmed that it carried out a series of strikes in the Shaboura area of Rafah in southern Gaza. “The strikes have concluded”, it wrote in a post on Telegram.
Early reports indicated that at least 50 people have been killed in the strikes, with the death toll still rising. Local media reports that the strikes hit two mosques in the city.
