Tehran (IP)- A court-appointed attorney will soon represent members of the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) terrorist group at the Tehran criminal court, said Kazem Gharibabadi, the Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and the Secretary-General of the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Despite the numerous crimes committed by the members of Mojahedeen-e-Khalgh aka MEK, the criminal court of Tehran province, in order to respect the legal rights of the defendants, has called them to introduce an attorney.

The secretary of the human rights headquarters further added: Despite the deadline, no attorney has been introduced by the MEK members, so the president of the trial court will soon issue an order to appoint an attorney for them in accordance with Article 384 of the Criminal Code.

In the end, Gharib-Abadi added: We believe that the world should be rid of the terrorist groups, so, we will take all necessary measures to try MEK members of the terrorist group.
