Iranian boxer winner in his first contest in Tokyo Olympics

Tokyo (IP) - Iranian boxer Danial Shahbakhsh in the men's 57 kg category won his first fight at the Tokyo Olympics.

Iran PressAsia: Danial Shahbakhsh, in the Men’s 57 kg category at the 2020 Tokyo, confronted in the first match of the Tokyo Olympics with Mohammad Hammut from Morocco on Saturday, defeating the African champion after three rounds.

In this match, Shahbakhsh finished three consecutive rounds with a technical advantage over his opponent, and in the end, with the referees' decision won the fight.

In the next round, Shahbakhsh will face the Cuban world champion and holder of 2 Olympic bronze medals.

Shahin Mousavi, another Iranian boxer, will start his contests on Monday.
