Border guard martyred while on duty

Sistan and Balouchestan (IP) - One of the border guards of the Zehak border region in eastern Iran was martyred while controlling the border strip.

Iran Press/Iran News: While controlling and guarding the eastern borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Reza Assadollahi was martyred, reported Chief of Sistan and Balouchestan Border Guards Brigadier General Mohammad Mollashahi. 

Noting that border guards in the most remote border areas are responsible for guarding and protecting the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran, General Mollashahi said dear soldiers as Reza Assadollahi have sacrificed their lives in order to defend the territorial integrity of the country. 

On October 10, The border commander of West Azarbaijan province in northwestern Iran announced the martyrdom of an Iranian border guard in the Sardasht Border Regiment in a clash with smugglers.
