In the women's 100-meter event, Hamideh Esmaeilnejad secured a silver medal.
On the men's side, Hossein Rasouli finished second in the discus throw, and Mehdi Saberi claimed the bronze in the weight throw.The international competition, which commenced on Saturday in Almaty, Kazakhstan, has seen the Iranian team deliver a standout performance on the first day of the event.
