Iran Press/ Europe: The opening of the third edition of the World Company Sports Games was held on Wednesday evening, October 6.
The competitions started on Thursday, October 7, with more than 35 countries and 4,000 athletes in 28 sports.
In track-and-field 100m, Mohammad Ghaedzadeh won the first title and snatched the gold medal, and Mohammad Zafarabadi won the silver medal.
In 1500 meters, Ahmad Forood grabbed the gold medal.
In women, Tahereh Sadat Abdollahzadeh snatched the gold medal of the 100-meter dash, and Fateme Nasrabadi won the gold medal of 1500 meters in track-and-field.
Maryam Sadat Sheikhan also won the bronze medal of 1500 meters, and Sara Qamsari snatched the bronze medal.
In the high jump competitions, Hadi Khoobiari won the bronze medal.
Zahra Dadkhah and Sara Qamsari also won the gold and bronze medals of women's shot put competitions.
Hamid Ahmadizadegan won a silver medal in breaststroke and a bronze medal in front crawl in men's swimming.
