Iran Press/ Asia: The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tajikistan Alireza Haghighian held talks with the Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Kaha Imnadze today, September 12.
The two sides met at the embassy to discuss regional and international issues, including peace and stability in Central Asia and the situation in Afghanistan.
Iranian ambassador to Tajikistan presented his credentials to Tajikistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin in a ceremony on August 23.
In the meeting between Iran's envoy and the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, the parties exchanged views on the current situation, bilateral cooperation, and the development of ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan congratulated Haghigian on the beginning of his mission and stated that he would try to deepen the bilateral ties.
