Iran Press/ Iran News: At the end of its meeting in Cairo, the Council of the Arab League officially announced the resumption of the participation of the Syrian government in the meetings of the Arab League.
In November 2011, the Arab League suspended the membership of Damascus and imposed political and economic sanctions against it.
Nasser Kanani, the Spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the resolution of differences between Islamic countries and the convergence between them will lead to comprehensive stability and peace and reduce foreign interventions in regional issues.
Kanani stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes such an approach.
