Iran Press/ Middle East: Iran's Ambassador to Doha, Hamid-Reza Dehghani said: "Tehran welcomes Qatar's efforts to establish a regional dialogue mechanism."
The Iranian ambassador to Qatar further stressed the need for the US to return to the 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), adding: "Iran is waiting for the return of the Biden administration to the agreement from which the Trump administration has withdrawn.
"Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani recently told a joint news conference with his Spanish counterpart that Qatar's contacts with Iran and the United States underway intend to ease tensions.
