Tehran (IP) - The Head of the Center for International Science and Technology Interactions of the Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Iranian Presidency announced the expansion of joint science and technology cooperation with Venezuela.

Iran PressIran News: About the joint scientific and technological achievements and cooperation between Iran and Venezuela, Amir- Hossein Mirabadi said: "During the recent visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Venezuela, the Iranian Knowledge- based company sent some samples of its products, and the process of registering these machines in Venezuela has started."

Mirabadi, pointing out that Iran and Venezuela agreed to set up a hemodialysis machine assembly line with the capacity to produce 1000 machines per year, stated that the manufacturing of this product would cover both Venezuela and the Latin American region."

He said: "Conclusion of several contracts in the field of gas distribution stations, telecommunication equipment, optical fiber and heat exchangers worth of 90 million dollars is one of the other achievements of the visit of the Iranian delegation to Venezuela, and it was decided to export equipment and services of knowledge based companies in the aforementioned fields."

The Memorandum of Understanding "Joint Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Iran and Venezuela" was signed between Gabriela Jiménez Ramirez, Vice President of Science and Technology of Venezuela and Amir-Hossein Mirabadi the head of the Center for International Interactions of Science and Technology.

The purpose of this memorandum is to establish the "Iran-Venezuela Joint Innovation and Technology Center" and to design a cooperation framework in the fields of science, technology and innovation based on equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit.

Facilitating knowledge and technology exchanges, joint research and development, market development and joint production in Venezuela, mutual cooperation in technology parks, special programs to train and strengthen national talents, growth of scientific projects, technology-based venture investments from common goals between the two countries is considered to be the innovation and technology center of Iran and Venezuela.
