Tehran (IP) - Iranian and Uzbek presidents stressed more interactions in order to comprehensively develop and strengthen bilateral ties.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a phone call on Wednesday, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani and Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev referred to the problems caused by the outbreak of coronavirus in most countries of the world and stressed the need to develop cooperation and empathy of governments and countries around the world to deal with the crisis.

They discussed the state of relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including the expansion of banking cooperation, facilitation of the issuance of visas for businessmen and restoring trade and economic relations to the usual trend, with the full observation of health protocols.

Referring to Iran’s successes in the fight against coronavirus and the production of equipment needed, including diagnostic kits and ventilators, Rouhani said Iran is ready to transfer experiences and meet Uzbekistan's needs to fight coronavirus.

The Uzbek President for his part appreciated Iran’s measures and successes in the fight against the coronavirus and said: “the Islamic Republic of Iran has a special position in the region and the development of relations with the country is very important for us”.
