Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman condemned the US intermediate missile test on last Sunday which came after a week from Washington withdrawal from the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.
The Pentagon announced Monday that the US conducted a flight test of a conventional ground-launched cruise missile off the western coast of the US, Iran Press reported.
The missile hit its target after more than 500 kilometers (310 miles) of flight, the Pentagon said.
The US withdrew from the INF Treaty. The arms control pact had limited the development of ground-based missiles with a range of 500 to 5,500 kilometers.
Abbas Mousavi said US action could create an arms race in the world and will destabilize international peace and security.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman urged the international community to show a proportionate response to US withdrawal from Internationally recognized INF treaty.
