Algiers(IP): Iran's President stressed the necessity of the full implementation of the security agreement between Tehran and Baghdad.

Iran PressAfrica: Recalling the historical role of Lt GenGeneral Soleimani in preventing the realization of the enemy's plan against the government and nation of Iraq, Iran's President stressed the necessity of the full implementation of the security agreement between the two countries regarding disarmament and preventing the presence and activity of terrorist and separatist elements in the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran from the Iraqi side.

Ebrahim Raisi, on Saturday evening, March 2, in continuation of the bilateral meetings with the heads of countries participating in the 7th meeting of the Heads of Gas Exporting Countries Summit in Algeria, met with the President of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid.

Raisi, in this meeting, stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always called for a strong and safe Iraq, calling the magnificent ritual of the Arbaeen procession one of the beautiful manifestations of the deep heart and religious bond between the two nations, and he considered the hosting of the Iraqi nation of all ethnicities and religions in this magnificent ritual worthy of honor and gratitude.

Iran's president pointed out the importance of the security issue for Iran and Iraq and considered that dealing with terrorist and separatist groups at the border points requires the interaction and role-playing of both countries.

Raisi, referring to the long history of good neighborliness of the Iraqi people, especially the residents of the Kurdistan Region, warned against the conspiracy of the Zionist regime to harm these relations. He then by recalling the historical role of the martyr Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani in preventing the realization of the enemies' plan against the government and people of Iraq, emphasized the necessity of the full implementation of the security agreement between the two countries regarding disarmament and preventing the presence of terrorist and separatist elements on the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The president stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the security of Iraq as its security, not in words but in practice, and in this way, the blood of the two nations has been mixed and emphasized: "Efforts should be made to expand the relations between the two countries as much as possible so that the enemies of the two nations, especially the Zionist regime, are disappointed."

Raisi also emphasized the full and comprehensive implementation of financial obligations between the two countries.

In another part of his speech, the president criticized some Arab and Islamic countries regarding their duties toward the Palestinian issue, considered cutting off commercial and economic relations with the Zionist regime as a practical solution to stop the Zionists' criminality, and emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation to create deterrence against the Zionist regime.

In this meeting, the President of Iraq stated that the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq are beyond the geographical borders and are rooted in the deep religious and cultural beliefs of the two nations.

"We will not forget the history of the Iraqi people and we assure that we will never allow the slightest encroachment on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran from within the territory of Iraq", added the Iraqi President.

Abdul Latif Rashid emphasized the joint view of the two countries regarding the Palestinian issue and said: "We are proud of the courageous positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran toward the issue of Palestine and Gaza and we believe that as long as a criminal and aggressive regime like the Zionist regime is present in the region, There will not be any secure stability."
