Tehran(IP): The Secretary of Iran's High Council for Human Rights said in a meeting with the UAE ambassador that cooperation between the two sides in jurisdictions, especially the transfer of convicts and the extradition of criminals, is a necessity.

Iran Press/Iran News: Saif Al-Zoabi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a meeting with Kazem Gharibabadi, Secretary of Iran's High Council for Human Rights,

While emphasizing the neighborhood policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the meeting, Gharibabadi stressed the need to strengthen judicial cooperation, considering the development of relations between Iran and the UAE in recent years.

Iran's top Human rights official further explained that three agreements signed between the two countries on judicial assistance in criminal and civil matters and the extradition of prisoners have prepared good grounds for judicial cooperation, and Iran suggests that talks be started to draft and sign an agreement on the transfer of convicts.

Gharibabadi also emphasized the need for cooperation in the field of extradition of fugitive criminals to the UAE, and it was decided to take immediate action to extradite two of the major fraudsters who have thousands of plaintiffs in total.203
