Tehran (IP) - The Islamic Republic of Iran is getting prepared to launch the Pars 1 satellite to orbit 500 km from the Earth.

Iran PressIran news: 'PARS 1' is a research-measurement satellite designed by the experts of Iran Space Research Institute, the project of which was defined in 2015. 

The satellite is considered the first step of Iran to design and develop measurement satellites. 

Applied imaging, the expansion of the domestic market for measurement data, and the development and testing of the basic technologies of measurement satellites and the relevant terrestrial parts are the goals for which Pars 1 has been developed.

The Satellite is planned to be launched into orbit aboard the Russian rocket Soyuz.
