Iran Press/ Iran news: In a statement on the occasion of “Dey 9 Epic,” the martyrdom anniversary of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani who was assassinated by the US in Baghdad on January 3, 2020, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that ahead of the historical events the time is ripe to clarify some issues in line with improving insights and standing against conspiracies of the enemies in their hybrid and media warfare against the Islamic Republic.
The statement said the enemies of the Islamic Republic resorted to different military, cultural, social, political, and terroristic plots against the Islamic Republic of Iran; in 2009, foreign-based oppositions and deceived people raised the accusation of election fraud in order to create riots in the country, but loyal people stood against the foes on December 30, 2009 and showed the world that the Iranians stand by religious values and the guardianship of the Islamic jurist.
The commemoration of the Day 9 Epic and the martyrdom anniversary of General Soleimani is the appropriate opportunity to make the people aware of the evil acts of the United States and the Zionist regime, the statement added.
The statement also referred to the recent unrest in Iran, noting that the enemies have resorted to media and cognitive warfare in order to affect youth minds and that the foes highlighted the fake pretext of supporting the rights of women in a bid to topple the Islamic government by the use of generational, ethnic and religious gaps to pursue their agenda, but the plot has been nullified by the Iranian people at this time.
According to the statement, the whole armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran pledge allegiance to the Islamic establishment and follow the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The armed forces will not allow the enemies to harm the people and the Islamic Republic, it said, adding that they will monitor the movements of the enemies, especially the US and the fake Zionist regime, and any potential miscalculation by them in any place or time will be decisively responded.
