Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said that more moves are going to take place in retaliation for Ahvaz attack.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting in Tehran on Wednesday, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami pointed to the IRGC’s missile and drone attacks on the positions of terrorists in Syria, which was in retaliation for the Ahvaz terror attack, and said this move (missile attack) had been demanded by the people and emphasized by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

“All those who take action against the Iranian nation’s security should wait for a strong and crushing response,” General Amir Hatami  said. 

The defense minister went on to say that domestically made missiles were used by the Armed Forces properly and precisely hit the targets.

On Monday morning, Iran launched missiles attack on east of Euphrates eastern Syria to target culprits of the recent terror attack in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced in a statement that the strike took place in early Monday by the IRGC’s Aerospace Division, killing and injuring a large number of Takfiri terrorists and ringleaders of the September 22 attack.

The attack happened during a ceremony marking the anniversary of the day Iraq attacked Iran and imposed an 8-year war on the country. 

Three of the terrorists were shot dead at the scene while a fourth was arrested and later succumbed to his wounds, armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said.

Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami warned Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on Friday to respect Tehran's "red lines" or face retaliation.
