In a telephone conversation between the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and the new Turkish Defense Minister, the necessity of continuing joint cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries was emphasized.

Iran PressIran News: In the phone call, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, while congratulating General Yaşar Güler as the new National Defense Minister of Türkiye, said: "Iran and Türkiye, as two good and strategic neighbors have common borders of peace and friendship, and the existence of common borders between the two countries ensures the continuation of joint cooperation is more necessary than before."

In the phone call, the Chief of General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces emphasized conducting bilateral meetings at different levels, transferring experience and knowledge in training centers, and conducting mutual exercises.

During the event chief of general staff of the Turkish armed forces Yaşar Güler, while emphasizing the increase and development of the level of military relations between the two countries, said: "The country of Türkiye witnessed Iran's brotherly and friendly assistance in the tragic incident of the recent earthquake and the Turkish people have always praised this assistance and cooperation."
