Tehran (IP) - The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, met and held discussions with President Masoud Pezeshkian during his visit to Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran News: President Masoud Pezeshkian, in his meeting with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani this Wednesday afternoon, referred to the agreements and understandings reached during his recent visit to Qatar. He said, "We must expedite the implementation of the agreements made during this trip, and I hope you will pursue these agreements with greater seriousness. We emphasize broader and deeper relations with the friendly and neighboring country of Qatar."

He added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran stands by its word and remains committed to its agreements. I hope the agreements between our nations will be fully implemented and executed."

The President emphasized his vision of unity within the Islamic world, stating, "Our heartfelt desire is to foster close relationships with our Muslim brothers and to demonstrate to the world that Muslim countries can live together in peace and harmony, respecting each other and sharing their experiences."

Pezeshkian concluded his remarks by extending an invitation to the Emir of Qatar to visit Iran.

 

Strong and Reliable Ally for Iran
 

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in expressing his country's interest in expanding relations with Iran, noted during the meeting: "According to the planned schedule, we hope that the Emir of Qatar will visit Iran early next year."

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani added, "The Emir and the Qatari government are resolute in accelerating the implementation of agreements between our nations. In recent months, the Qatari cabinet has undergone changes, including the creation of a new position, the Minister of Foreign Trade. One of the main priorities of this new role is to ensure the diligent execution of agreements with the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Al Thani said that the Qatari government aims to expand relations and establish a solid foundation in the bilateral relations between the two countries. He stressed that the Emir of Qatar consistently underscores this objective. "Qatar will always be a strong and reliable ally for Iran," he affirmed.

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, addressing regional developments, noted: "Qatar has consistently sought to engage in dialogue with Iran, exchanging views on regional issues. The Qatari government praises and supports your vision for unity within the Islamic world. Iran, as a significant and influential nation, has the capability to bring the idea of Islamic unity to fruition."
