Tehran(IP) - Foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia talked about the latest status of the resumption of bilateral relations in a telephone conversation.

Iran PressIran news: After severing diplomatic ties in 2016, Iran and Saudi Arabia restored diplomatic relations with the declaration of a statement of the agreement on March 10, in Beijing.

Pointing out the dispatch of technical teams to reopen the embassies of the two countries, Iran's FM, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a conversation with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has taken the preparations for the official opening of its embassy in Saudi Arabia."

Amir-Abdollahian termed the diplomatic shuttles' between the two capitals as a sign of their determination to restore ties.

Emphasizing Riyad's will to develop and strengthen Iranian-Saudi relations, Bin Farhan hoped that the opening of the embassies will facilitate bilateral cooperation.
