Riyadh(IP)- Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran met and discussed the latest developments in the international arena as well as the Muslim World with the Saudi Foreign Minister during his one-day trip to Riyadh.

Iran Press/Middle East:  According to Iran press, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who arrived in Riyadh this Thursday afternoon, met and talked with his Saudi counterpart Faisal Bin Farhan at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In this meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral issues, issues of the Muslim World, and international issues.

This is the first visit of Iran's foreign minister to Saudi Arabia after the two countries aimed at reviving relations.

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan also came to Tehran on June 17 at the invitation of Hossein Amir- Abdollahian for a one-day trip.

During the negotiations on March 10, 2023, in Beijing, Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to resume diplomatic relations after 7 years.

After this meeting, the foreign ministers of the two countries will participate in a joint press conference.

Amir -Abdollahian is expected to meet with Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi crown prince and Prime Minister.
